My new Lush addiction

I got this one during my trip to England this summer. And I absolutely looooooveee the Angels on bare skin cleaner from Lush. From all the face cleanser I have tried from Lush, it is my all-time-favorite.

It works quite well with my sensitive and mixed skin. I was advised by a very nice lady to try it ... but aren't they always so helpful and nice ?

I’ve been using this product for about four months. I love the smell of the cleanser. But once again, Lush Products always smell so nice! It doesn't make my sensitive skin shiver. It also helps with the "mixed skin" aspect of my skin. Every time I use it I feel like my skin is just better, cleaner and prettier.

6 reasons why you're growing up - or old.

Nobody feels like an adult. It's the world's dirty secret.

♢ You're no longer having a panick attack at the simple thought of ordering fastfood on your own.

♢ You often think : " Fuck it. I'm too old for this shit. "

♢ You have no clue. You litterally do not know anything about everything in your life right now.

♢ You have a hard time understanding the teenage slang.

♢ You have a household chart and it is completed on a daily basis.

♢ You feel quite nostalgic about your childhood.

Don't worry it gets worst... Oops I meant better. *I am joking, do not take this seriously*

* the photograph abouve is from my dear friend Louise. It was taken during a trip to the cliff of Moher in Ireland. We lived in Ireland for 2 months. I miss Ireland ever since. Louise if you see this photograph, we need to go back asap! And I miss you, my friend.

Is the famous Konjac Sponge the key to a better skin ?

For my birthday, my best mate offered me this little sponge. As one might know, I was thinking about trying this konjac sponge for a while. Thanks to her, I was able to try it.

My first reaction was : " what on earth is that thing ? It feels so weird. How do I use it ? " I think if you've tried it yourself, you probably felt the same. It's very unusual. Even if it felt kind of weird, I kept on using it. I did some research on the Internet about the plant of "konjac". I found out that it comes from "Amorphophallus konjac" which can be used to loose weight (apparently!). It comes from Asia. The konjac plant of Asia produces a starchy fiber used in many health foods of Japan.

Now, I use it almost everyday. I'm very pleased with the results. I was quite worried since I have a pretty sensitive skin but it appears not to hurt my skin. I feel like my skin is better when I use it.

The one I have here is from Kiko Cosmetics but I think nowadays it can be found pretty much everywhere.

a ship at harbor is safe but that's not what ships are for.

« Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. »

I sincerely think it makes a difference. And you can make a difference in someone's life. A small gesture can change a mood so easily. I've seen it. I have felt it. And I'm sure you did too. So what are you waiting for ? Go on and go change the world.

what's up with me ?

I know I have not been around much lately but I have been quite busy. I also moved back into my apartment. I am having a lot of ' I forget so many things back home ' kind of moments lately. I'm struggling to find the right balance between my work, studies and life. I should be able to take some photographs on Wednesday (hopefully!) so that is good news.
For those of you who have not heard yet , the Serenbird family has a new member. A little ginger cat, that will be, I'm sure, the 'Garfield' type. Joke aside, this baby kitten is a hand full.
I wanted to adopt a cat since… about two or three years. As you might know, I have another cat (that you might have seen before as it lives at my parents’ house) . They do not get along at all. Other than that, this whole thing makes me so darn happy. It also was my birthday on the 22nd of September. I turned 21 and was quite spoiled for it. Anyway, I just wanted to share with you this happy moment in Serenbird History. The little Nolan has been enlightening my life and I could not be more thankful for it ♡

Why don't we ever stop ?

Do you ever just take a moment ? Don't you ever just want to press "pause" on things ? Take a second, a minute and just look around you.
Look around and you'll notice things you never acknowledged before. Things like... The look they shared when he sat behind you. The laugh they could not hide. The look the bus driver had on his face when he had to go back to work. The fragile raindrops on the grass you're walking on. The way he talks about her. The way he misses her everyday since she left. The sadness that her smile hides. How lonely she really feels everyday. All those things we easily forget to look for.
I know Life can be quite OVERWHELMING sometimes. We tend to take it two ways : either too seriously or not seriously enough. It is easier to forget about the rest of the world. It is easier to focus on us sometimes, to focus on our issues rather than other's. Or there is this part when you actually focus too much into others that you forget about yourself.
I think. I think too much, to be honest. We all have those moments when our brain just "won't shut up". I guess it is its way of saying : " dude, you need to take a break from your life, like very soon. " At least, that is how I see it.

So my advice would be, whenever you feel like everything is just too much. Take a deep breath. No, actually make it three slow and deep breaths.

My makeup essential

We all have those big headache just thinking about choosing between makeup products. What will I take if I could not take my whole makeup bag ? Some choices were easier than others. After all, we all have our favourite. In the end, if I had to narrow it down to just a few items, this is what it will be :

1. My Real Technique brushes which I bought on my summer trip.
2. Nars, Radiant Concealer.
3. CC cream (the one from Bourjois is quite ok, not the best that being said.)
4. Mascara, this one is from MUA.
5. Brown eyeliner. (I recently bought this one from Rimmel London)
6. Brow-volumizing fiber gel from Benefit, Gimme Brow in medium/light.
7. My new blush (also bought during my holiday... me, weak? huh.) which is from B.Cheeky. It's the 078 named SHERBET.

And you, what would you keep ?
